Where the work gets done

A look at the operational work behind active legal matters. Client details stay confidential.

Keeping 80+ active matters organized

B&W Advocates, LLP

THE SITUATION

A busy practice with more than 80 matters moving at once, each at a different stage and each needing someone to know the next step.

WHAT I DID

I supported matter organization, documentation, filings, deadline visibility, hearings and follow-up, and introduced Trello to keep the status of every matter visible.

THE RESULT

  • Every matter had a visible status and next step
  • Deadlines, hearings and follow-ups were tracked in one place instead of in memory
  • The advocate’s written reference describes me as reliable, proactive and quick to adapt to new tools

A template and workflow library for a U.S. law firm

Contract Engagement, September 2026

THE SITUATION

A law firm whose attorneys and paralegals were starting routine legal work from a blank page.

WHAT I DID

I designed and built templates and checklists for the firm’s recurring work, adding selectable and optional sections so each document adapts to the matter.

THE RESULT

  • 51 ready-to-use templates and checklists delivered, covering client intake, engagement and exit, pre-litigation and demand practice, and discovery
  • Attorneys and paralegals have a ready starting point for routine work

“Jael is reliable, proactive and quick to adapt to new tools and workflows, particularly in legal practice management software and remote collaboration. Her commitment to excellence, integrity and client-focused service makes her an invaluable team member.”
